Terms of Service

1. Eligibility and account

You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use Commyt. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

2. Description of the Service

Commyt helps users organize their job search on LinkedIn by capturing job postings and connection profiles, scoring them against the user's profile, generating AI-assisted outreach messages, and tailoring CVs. Features may change, be added, or be removed at any time.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use Commyt only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You will not:

• Use the Service to violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.
• Scrape, resell, or redistribute data obtained through the Service.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or bypass any security or rate-limit mechanism.
• Upload malicious code, spam other users, or interfere with the Service's operation.
• Use the extension in a way that violates LinkedIn's terms of service or user agreement.

4. LinkedIn and third-party services

Commyt is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LinkedIn or any other third-party platform. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of the extension complies with LinkedIn's terms. Commyt relies on third-party providers (such as Supabase for data storage and Google Gemini for AI features); their availability is outside our control.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of any content you upload (CVs, notes, profile information). You grant Commyt a limited license to store and process that content solely to provide the Service to you. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you upload.

6. AI-generated content

Messages, CVs and recommendations generated by AI features are produced automatically and may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all AI output before sending it or using it in any official context. Commyt is not liable for the consequences of AI output you choose to use.

7. Subscriptions and payments

Commyt offers free and paid plans. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation stops future renewals but does not generate a refund for the current period unless required by applicable law. Prices and quotas may change with reasonable advance notice.

8. Free trials and beta features

Some features may be offered as beta or free-trial experiences. They are provided "as is", may be changed or discontinued without notice, and may not meet the reliability standards of the general Service.

9. Intellectual property

Commyt, its name, logo, design and software are owned by us and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks without prior written consent.

10. Termination

You may stop using Commyt at any time by uninstalling the extension and deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or create risk for other users. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Commyt does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or produce any particular job-search outcome.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Commyt and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or opportunities, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months prior to the event giving rise to the claim.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at our principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer-protection laws provide otherwise.
